FOCUS ON STUDENT THINKING: ENGAGE & REFLECT (FOSTER)
The Focus On Student Thinking: Engage & Reflect (FOSTER) program is a virtual Zoom series for K-12 mathematics teachers where we can focus on student thinking and reflect on what learning is like for students.
As we reflect, we will also deepen your understanding of mathematics and engage with peers to unpack the teaching of mathematics. Between each session we will share opportunities for you to stay connected with fellow teachers on "tasks to try" before the next session. All activities will be led by Deb Stetson and Sayonita Ghosh Hajra.

Here are the topics we will be covering at each session:
-
Experience inclusion activities & build community
-
Problem solving, engaging in discourse, and question-posing
-
Open exploration and identify questions to extend thinking
